A pair of Owen County boys basketball players have been named North Central Kentucky Conference Player of the Week for the first two weeks of the season.

Rebel sophomore Sawyer Williams had a tremendous opening week for the Owen County basketball team.  For the week Dec. 1- 6, the sophomore big man averaged 18 points and nine rebounds. Williams shot 70 percent from the field in the three games. The Rebels went 2-1 last week, picking up wins over Williamstown and Berea.

This past week, it was Stone Osborne who put up big numbers to take home the honor. In two games last week, the sophomore averaged 21 points, five rebounds and two assists.

Osborne shot 55-percent from both the field and three point range in two wins over Trimble County and Carroll County.
