An Owen County man has been sentenced to over two years in prison for selling firearms to a convicted felon.
David L. Cammack, 61, was sentenced March 12 to two years and three months by a federal judge after admitting to selling one or more firearms in Owen County to a person he knew was a convicted felon on three separate occasions.
Federal law prohibits convicted felons from legally purchasing and possessing firearms.
According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, Cammack voluntarily surrendered his FFL license and pleaded guilty in December.
