Police say foul play involved

Homicide detectives in San Bernardino, Calif., are investigating the death of an Owenton man after his body was found in the bed of a pickup truck engulfed in flames.
According to a statement from the San Bernardino County coroner, at 6:52 a.m. Friday, the San Bernardino City Fire Department responded to the report of a vehicle fire in an open field. After putting out the fire, firefighters found the body of Lafe Humble, 46, in the bed of the 2001 Dodge truck.
According to the San Bernardino Sun, after the discovery of Humble’s body, firefighters called in police detectives, who took over the crime scene.
They found trauma to the victim’s body, which led them to believe he died as a result of  foul play.
Relatives in Owen County said Humble had been living in southern California for about three months and had moved there in hopes of finding a job.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
