Owen falls to Western Hills, but bounces back against Williamstown

The Owen County Rebels lifted the lid on the 2008-2009 season Dec. 9 in Owenton against Western Hills.

Given the outcome, they may have wished for a do-over.

The Wolverines got the best of the Rebels in a 64-56 win.

Western Hills led 14-12 late in the first quarter before going on an 11-0 run to stretch the lead to 25-12 two minutes into the second quarter.

The Rebels managed to keep the score close by going on a 7-0 run of their own to cut the deficit to 25-19.

Western Hills righted the ship and maintained the lead at intermission.
