For the News-Herald With temperatures moving into the high 90s this week, Owen County Emergency Management reminds everyone to follow safety precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses.
The following tips can help you remain safe during the hot weather:
• Drink plenty of fluids. You will need to drink more fluids than your thirst level indicates.
• Avoid drinking alcoholic beverages or drinks with large amounts of sugar.
