Owen County WMU will discuss human trafficking at meeting

-A A +A

The Owen County Association WMU will host its winter quarterly meeting at Cedar Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, Jan. 18, beginning at 10 a.m. followed by a light brunch.
The group would appreciate each church to supply one brunch item if possible.
However, if there is inclement weather a one call will be made to the church’s WMU/Contact person canceling the meeting. The group has set Jan. 25 as an alternate date at this time.
The guest speaker this month will be speaking on human trafficking as WMU designated Jan. 11 as Human Trafficking Day.
Don’t forget  to bring your baby items as the group will be filling 75 “Bags of Blessings” immediately following the meeting.
The WMU Team would like to extend a special thank you to Bro. Tom Hall and Paul Tudor for their work on the Christmas float. They put in several long hours of work and Paul was kind enough to  let WMU build it in his garage so the volunteers could have heat.
Because the 2013 parade was canceled, the group has dismantled the float and it is being stored hopefully for next year’s parade.
