State Representative Brian Linder, R-Dry Ridge (61st District which includes Owen County) was recently named vice-chairman of the Kentucky House of Representatives tourism development and energy committee.
“I am hopeful my 17 years of experience working for a rural electric cooperative will serve me well in my new role as vice-chairman of the house tourism development and energy committee,” Linder said. “And with the Kentucky Speedway and the new Ark Encounter theme park in my district, I look forward to working with them and others to promote Kentucky as a top tourism destination.”
“Brian’s selection as vice-chairman is a testament to his abilities and leadership as a legislator,” said House Republican Floor Leader Jeff Hoover, R-Jamestown. “It also reinforces the confidence Brian’s constituents showed by selecting him as their state representative.”
In addition to his appointment as vice-chairman of the house tourism development and energy committee, Linder was also named to the house education and local government committees.
