On July 14, 2009, the Owen County grand jury met and returned the following indictments:
• Antoine R. Williams, 22, on the charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
According to the indictment, on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia he possessed drug paraphernalia, which is used, intended for use or designed for use of drugs; on the charge of possession of marijuana he knowingly and unlawfully possessed marijuana.
If convicted on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, he is punishable by imprisonment for up to five years and a fine of up to $10,000; on the charge of possession of marijuana, he is punishable by imprisonment for up to 12 months in the county jail, and/or a fine of up to $500.
Pleaded not guilty, adopted plea agreement, continued to July 28.
• Justin W. Stewart, 18, on the charges of second-degree burglary and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
According to the indictment, on the charge of second-degree burglary with the intent to commit a crime, he knowingly entered or remained unlawfully in the dwelling of another; on the charge of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument he uttered or possessed a check in the amount of $90 drawn on the account of another with knowledge that said check was forged with the intent to defraud, deceive or injure another.
If convicted on the charge of second-degree burglary, he is punishable by imprisonment for up to 10 years and a fine of up to $10,000; on the charge of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, he is punishable by imprisonment for up to five years and a fine of up to $10,000.
