Owen Co. workers to see raises under new budget

-A A +A
By Molly Haines

All non-elected Owen County employees are expected to receive raises during the next fiscal year.
The Owen County Fiscal Court held a first reading on the 2012-13 budget ordinance May 8.
Owen County Judge-executive Carolyn Keith said the increases will be small, but both full- and part-time employees will receive a raise.
The budget has already been approved by the state, Keith said.
“They have to make sure all the numbers are OK and that everything adds up,’ Keith said. ‘They also check to make sure everything has proper classification.’
