Two of the three educational districts up for election will now go uncontested after one candidate recently dropped out of the race.
Michele Heuser, who was running against Owen County Board of Education Chiarman Stuart Bowling for the third educational district seat, formally dropped out of the race Oct. 25.
The third educational district covers Lusby’s Mill, Jonesville and South Owen.
Kimberly Hunter, who was appointed to the board earlier this year and serves as the first educational district board member is also running uncontested.
