The HotShots played Team Ward to a draw on Saturday with every player making improvements from the first game. Players Blaine Spencer, Eli Myers, Luke Myers and Gabi Stewart were aggressive while improving their passing skills during the game.
Alexa Clifford defended well by clearing the ball down the field many times as fullback.
Price Griffin stopped the ball after an attack on the goal maintaining the zero score at the second quarter.
Both teams played hard in the final quarters, yet failed to convert a play to score.
Orange Crush - 7 vs. Team Clemons - 4
From the opening whistle, Orange Crush commanded the game.
Matthew Young connected on a long shot to take the early lead during the first quarter.
Kailyn Duncan, Kaileigh Grider and Young worked well together to take multiple shots on goal.
When Avery Miller, Brady Kemper and Ashton Moore entered the field for the second quarter, they were unstoppable.
Miller added three goals with a beautiful assist from Moore on one and Kemper added two.
When play stopped for halftime, Orange Crush had a 6-0 lead.
Kemper added one final goal in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
Kemper’s shot was from mid-field and soared into the back of the net.
James Grider, Alex Valdez, Anna Riddle and Jade Davis played solid defense to help make great saves and stops during the game.
