New Columbus Baptist

New Columbus Baptist now has two new deacons. Tommy Scott and Clinton House were recently ordained by the church. We had a great turnout of family and church friends in attendance for this memorable event. Light refreshments were served following the ordination service.
For Sunday, pastor Brad Vincent will be using Isaiah, chapter 10 for his message titled “God’s Temporary Tool.”  No one likes discipline. Yet when our circumstances seem to overwhelm us, we can trust that God is in control and might be disciplining us for our benefit. Assyria wanted to destroy Israel, yet God used them as a tool to discipline His people. Therefore, as the Bible educates us, God has used kings and armies to accomplish His purposes, and might still be doing just that in today’s world.
The departure time for that snow-tubing trip Saturday has been moved back to 5 p.m. Contact “Bubby” Young for details.
