Muddy Boots Cafe opens its doors

Serving up homemade biscuits and gravy to early-morning customers at the Muddy Boots Cafe, Marilyn Rhodes is living her lifelong dream of being part owner of a restaurant.

A native of Henry County, Rhodes moved to Owen County in 1996.

“I just loved it here,” Rhodes said.

Rhodes worked for the now-closed Scoopy Doo for about five years.
