First of all, since it has been a while since I’ve had anything to submit, I’d like to start out by thanking everyone out there who have been calling, emailing, texting, etc., making sure that I am okay. It means a lot to know that you are missed. I among others have just been very busy lately and haven’t had much time for submitting any news. I am flattered that my friends and family are missing this. I’ve actually had some time to write, but just haven’t had a lot to write about, other than myself that is. However, I don’t mind to share some of my news with you.
I recently went to Daytona Beach with some friends and family. Greg Atha had planned to take his family to Florida for a family vacation and asked if I would like to come along with them. I ended up going and had a great time. Skot ended up going as well, and we all had a blast. It was beautiful there and the weather was perfect. During that same week, it was pretty hot here and a few of my girlfriends from the FAUBS even called to see if they could stop by and use the pool. Glad I was able to help you out, and glad you girls had somewhere to go and cool off a bit.
Ray and I have recently celebrated another birthday on July 26. I had planned to have my usual birthday bash at the house on the 30th, but Ray and Gina were not going to be able to make this one. They had left the day before to go to Florida themselves. Hopefully, at this reading they are back at home safe and sound. We ended up having a great day. It started off looking like a nasty, rainy day, but soon changed into a beautiful sun-shiny day instead. I ended up having about 35 or so people to show up. Thanks to all of you that came out and helped me in celebrating another wonderful birthday.
Evelyn recently called to say that she got another job. She will be starting to work in Carrolton soon. This will be closer for her; however, she will still be traveling to Anderson County every other day or so to continue her college classes. Best of luck to you in your new career move, Evelyn Carol. I love you and am very proud of you.
I know everyone on 127 was glad to see the yard sales end. What a mess? I believe it was worse this year, as far as traffic goes. I usually get out there with them, however, this year I chose not to participate. For one, it was just too hot to be out in it. Plus, I have all the junk I need right now. I hope the ones of you that were out in it got lots of good deals and were safe.
I suppose that’s all the news I have to share at this time. If any of you have something you’d like to share with us, please by all means contact me and I will get it out there for you. Until next time, God Bless and be safe.
