MBMS students help disabled veterans with donation

Students at Maurice Bowling Middle School honored those who served in the military with their annual Veterans Day program Nov. 12 As part of the celebration, the students made a donation to the Disabled American Veterans. Randy Reese, a representative of DAV National Headquarters, located in Cold Spring, was present to accept a donation of $550 collected by the students to help injured veterans. Last year, DAV’s free services helped more than 300,000 veterans access a wide range of services and benefits.
