It was another night and another easy win for the Bowling Middle School football team. The Rebels defeated Frankfort 48-2 last week to run their record to 5-0 on the season.
Bowling Middle scored in all facets of the game. The Rebels scored touchdowns on offense, defense and special teams.
In the first half, Collin Trammell scored a touchdown on the ground and also returned a punt for a score. Adam Hazelett threw a pair of touchdown passes during the first half. One went to Chris Day and the other was a 55-yard toss to Chris Smith with less than a minute to play in the half.
The only points Frankfort could muster actually were thanks to the Rebels. Bowling Middle snapped the ball over the head of the punter, which led to a safety giving the Panthers their only two points of the night.
Once the second half began it was more of the same for the Rebels. Hazelett connected with Day for a 32-yard touchdown pass to extend the lead to 34-2.
Trammell then returned an interception for a touchdown to start the fourth quarter, giving the Rebels a 40-2 lead.
John Gaines capped off the scoring in the fourth quarter when he scampered in from 14 yards out. Logan Lowe converted on the 2-point conversion to give the Rebels their final margin of victory.
