Southern Gospel recording artist Kenny Bishop will be singing at Long Ridge Baptist Church on March 31 during the 11 a.m. worship service.
The public is invited to the special Easter service to hear Bishop, a popular Christian singer who is a regular on the Gaither Homecoming videos.
For nearly 20 years, Bishop traveled with his father and brother in one of Christian music’s favorite southern Gospel trios.
The Bishops garnered several industry and fan awards including the coveted Dove Award as well as numerous number one and top ten songs.
The Bishops made a name for themselves appearing on television and stages all across America. Their songs have been constants for the past three decades on most every radio station and program that featured southern Gospel music. After thousands of miles, more than two dozen recordings and hundreds of songs, the Bishops, as a group, have retired. But Kenny Bishop now is a solo artist.
Recent feature articles in major, main-stream music publications have brought added notoriety to his story of success and struggle in the Gospel music industry. This attention, coupled with a new understanding of his mission and purpose, has allowed Bishop to take his message of love-beyond-limits to many who considered themselves unwanted or neglected by God.
