Letter to the editor: Owen countians show their heart and support for history

I wish to thank Owen countians and people elsewhere, who have Owen County roots, for their enormous monetary contributions for the erection and dedication of the highway marker for “Karsner Airfield” and “H. Clark Karsner, Owner and Operator.”
The News-Herald paper dated Feb. 7, 1946 refers to Clark Karsner as having, “Brought aviation to Owen County” and the gospel message from his “gospel plane.” Bro. Lewis Arnold proclaimed the message.
