Letter to the editor: Mayor reminds public to take care of yards

It’s that time of year again, to start mowing and keeping weeds cut. Our ordinance states that grass shall not be taller than 8 inches and weeds no taller than 12 inches. We had to send out several notices last year on maintaining grass and weeds and I hope we don’t have to send out that many this year.
I would like to compliment John Davis and Richard Green on their property on North Main Street, as to how nice they keep them. Also we have a garden behind city hall if anyone would like to mark off a small plot to raise vegetables for themselves. I would like to thank Mark Baldwin and Bobby Gaines for rotor tilling it up for us.
