Letter to the editor: Marcus Carey will bring Owen County values to Washington D.C.

For the first time in memory, we have a chance this May 22 to vote for an Owen countian to be Republican nominee for the U.S. House of Representatives. Owen County’s Marcus Carey is the most knowledgeable candidate, and is the strongest moral values conservative in this race. Marcus Carey says he wants to take Owen County values to Washington D.C. You know the values he is talking about: The values of the church, the farm, and the rural community. Marcus Carey is the gold standard: • For anti-abortion. Carey will vote for a constitutional amendment to end abortion, and vote for personhood legislation, which could lead to overturning Roe vs. Wade. Also, Carey is the only candidate to go on record that he will vote for a constitutional amendment giving constitutional force to the Declaration of Independence, a much more likely route to overturn Roe vs. Wade. • For second amendment rights. A life member of NRA, a hunter and concealed to carry advocate. • For protection of marriage. Carey will vote for the U.S. Constitutional amendment which bans gay marriage and civil unions. • For religious freedom. Carey will vote for a constitutional amendment to sweep away U.S. Supreme Court decisions that have curtailed the religious freedom of Christians, but which have considered witchcraft and the Church of Satan as religions, so they now have chaplains in the U.S. Military. • For support of Israel. Carey is the only candidate who has gone on record in bring in support of biblical borders for Israel, and he did it right here in Owen County’s The News-Herald. Marcus Carey is not just our own Owen County candidate. Marcus Carey is the best candidate. That’s why I personally endorse Marcus Carey for United States House of Representatives.
