Letter to the editor: Groups working to keep Owen County highways beautiful

The beauty of spring can be seen all through Owen County. You can smell the sweet aroma of wildflowers, trees full and green, butterflies fluttering through the breeze. You can see beer bottles and pop cans lining the roads, McDonald’s bags full of trash blown in the grass. Owen County is such a beautiful place. Why do we want to hinder its beauty with our trash. Over the weekend our church picked up trash on Hwy. 330. We completed 10 miles, with over 80 bags of trash. We are so grateful for the opportunity to raise money for our church mission this year.
