Another paradise lost.
There was once a beautiful stream where the beaver built their damns, where deer would drink and play, where ducks would swim the day away, all the while, the bald eagle would watch from his nest.
Now the beaver are dead, the dams are gone and the eagle has left.
Think I’m talking about some big city far away? I’m not.
I’m talking about Mill Creek in Owen County, just before it empties into the Kentucky River, where people chasing a dollar are running mud trucks, (allegedly) damaging the creek with gas and oil and antifreeze from broken radiators.
If this concerns you, contact Jeff Malsi at the Kentucky Division of Water in Florence at 859-525-4923, case number 2347440.
