It truly does take an entire community to educate a child. That point was never made clearer than at Owen County High School’s  KCCT Recognition Ceremony on Nov. 18 where more than 100 students were recognized for high academic achievement.

It is at this ceremony where over 70 proud guests (parents, grandparents, and other family members) were present to share in this special event.

I would like to thank all those guests who were there to support their children. A school cannot be truly great without great parent and community support. It is parent support (assistance with homework, reinforcement of the importance of education, effective communication with teachers and school administrators) that will have a tremendous impact on their son’s/daughter’s education.

Thank you all for the role you play in the success of your child, our school, and ultimately our community.
