As winter sets in for the next few months, Owen countians and those traveling through the area now have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of summer labor and its history.
The third Agricultural Heritage Trail Committee tobacco barn mural was installed Dec. 30 on a barn located on U.S. 127 North. The barn is owned by Johnny and Pat Craigmyle.
The mural depicts the history of setting tobacco. Four vignettes show the progression of setting tobacco from “setting by the season” to setting on a setter pulled by a tractor.
