Lady Rebels take third place at NCKC

The Owen County High School Lady Rebels traveled to Carrollton on April 22 for the NCKC Meet. The team finished third behind Walton-Verona and Henry County.
Andi Burford won the 100-meter dash with Hailey Hatchett finishing in fifth place.
Burford finished fourth; Sara Wilhoit, seventh: and Julie Herrman finished ninth in the 200-meter dash.
Mikala Byers was sixth and Herrman seventh in the 400-meter dash.
Autumn Hunter placed sixth in the 800-meter and fifth in the 1600-meter run.
Samantha Tamplin was eighth in the 1600-meter.
In the 3200-meter, Hunter was fourth and Tamplin, fifth.
Nicole Jacobs was fourth and Audrey Hager came in fifth in the 100-meter hurdles.
Jacobs won the 300-meter hurdles with Hager again coming in fifth.
The 4x100-meter relay team won while the 4x200-meter and 4x800-meter teams finished second. The 4x400-meter team placed fourth.
In the field events, Paula Rivera won the discus with Wilhoit taking second place.
Jacobs was second in the high jump and fifth in the long jump. Also in the long jump, Rivera finished fourth.
Hailey Hatchett was the shot put and Rivera placed second.
The team headed to the Harrison County Invitational on Saturday.
Burford was 17th and Hatchett 19th in the 100-meter dash.
In the 200-meter dash, it was Burford placing eighth and Wilhoit, 19th.
Byers was 17th in the 400-meter dash.
In the 800 meter, Hunter placed 15th and Tamplin, 16th.
Hunter was also 12th in the 1600-meter run and eighth in the 3200-meter run.
Jacobs finished 14th in the 100-meter hurdles and fourth in the 300-meter hurdles.
Both the 4x100 and 4x800-meter relay teams finished sixth.
The 4x200-meter team was 10th and the 4x400-meter team finished ninth.
In the field events, Rivera finished second and Wilhoit fourth in the discus.
Jacobs was eighth in the high jump while Veronica Chisholm placed 12th and Rivera 13th in the long jump.
Rivera was second and Hatchett third in the shot put.
