A long season for the Owen County High School Lady Rebels is coming to a close. Lady Rebels are gearing up for their final two homes games of the 2013-2014 campaign.
The team played a road contest last week in Taylorsville against Spencer County High School. Owen County was able to score its most points of the season but unfortunately it would not be enough. The Lady Bears would defeat the Lady Rebels 71-51 to pick up their fifth win of the season and keeping Owen County winless.
Entering the final week of the regular season, the Lady Rebels have two more home games remaining.
The first will come on Wednesday night when North Oldham High School comes to Owenton. The game is set for 6:30 p.m. and is the first game of the doubleheader with the boys, who will take on Carroll County at 8 p.m.
On Friday night, it will be Grant County High School that travels to play the Lady Rebels.
The game on Friday night will be the final home game for Owen County senior, A.J. Gravely.
Following the game on Friday night the Lady Rebels will get ready for the upcoming 31st District Tournament at Carroll County. Gallatin County High School is the defending champion.
