Keith urges public to properly use 911 calls and be prepared

With Owen County having so many telephone exchanges and cell towers, it is difficult for emergency dispatch to know exactly where the emergency may be, according to Owen County Judge-executive Carolyn Keith.
When an Owen County resident calls 911, they are urged to give their name, number, address, address of the emergency and a description of the emergency to the dispatcher.
Keith also said let the dispatcher know the county you are in so they can make sure they get the right responder to the emergency.
