Joe Colson

Joe Colson, 86, of Corinth, died Setptember 28, 2008, at his residence. He was a dairy farmer and a member of the Antioch Church of Christ, in Corinth. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and past president of the Kentucky Brown Swiss Association. He was a Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by his wife, Velma S. Brewer Colson; five sons, Arnold Colson of Corinth, Wayne Colson and Dwight Colson, both of Caledonia, Miss., Paul Colson of Cynthiana, and Dean Colson of Dry Ridge; three stepdaughters, Diana Fait of Lancaster, Calif., Lou Ellen Dyer of Burlington, and Colette Estes of Hunington, W.Va..; four sisters, Libby Bowman of Corinth, Evelyn Cole of Independence, Patsy Simpson of Dry Ridge, and Imogene McAdams of Dry Ridge; and one brother, Jess Colson of Corinth. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma Arthur and Loyal Epperson; two brothers, Harry Colson and John Colson; 16 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Services were held September 31, 2008, at the Antioch Church of Christ in Corinth. Burial was held in Antioch Church Cemetery.Memorials are suggested to the cemetery, in care of G.L. Middleton, 2320 Knoxville Rd., Dry Ridge, KY 41035.
