Jack C. Maddox, 86, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away Jan. 13, 2013, at Fort Hamilton Hughes Hospital.
He was born to William T. and Iva D. (nee Davis) in Owen County on Aug. 31, 1926.
Jack is the beloved husband of Evelyn (nee Miller); dear brother of Marcia Ross of Louisville; and the much-loved uncle of Terrell (Nancy) Ross of Charlestown, Ind.
Jack served in the Army during WWII and was given the Asiatic Pacific Ribbon, Victory Medal, and Army of Occupation Medal. After his service to his country, he worked for American Aggregate until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hamilton.
The family will receive friends today (Wednesday) Jan. 16, 2013, from 10 a.m. - noon at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, Ohio, 45014. The funeral services will begin at noon at the funeral home with Dr. Dennis Metzger and the Rev. William C. Brantingham officiating. Burial will be Thursday at noon in the IOOF Cemetery, 912 Seminary Street in Carrollton. Memorial contributions may be given to First Baptist Church, 1501 Pyramid Hill Drive, Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
