In his footsteps: Owen family helps mark 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s March on Frankfort

Although it was a re-enactment of a moment in history, as he walked in the gathered crowd, Owen County’s Kalem Juett said he felt like he and his family might be making their own piece of personal history.
On March 5, Juett and his family, along with thousands of others, took part in a retracing of steps civic rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. took around the streets of Frankfort.
“It was good to participate in an event that represented history,” Juett said.
