Heart Walk preparations under way

The 4th Annual Walk for Awareness of Congenital Heart Defects (CHDs) will be held from noon to 7 p.m. on Feb. 7 at Owenton First Baptist Church Family Life Center. 

The Meg and Johnny Fitzgerald family have first-hand experience battling CHDs.  

When Meg was 20-weeks pregnant, she went to the doctor for a routine sonogram. The excitement of seeing her baby for the first time quickly turned to fear when the doctor found that her baby had heart defects.
