Hardin and Katie Lowe

On Aug. 19, 2011, Hardin and Katie Lowe of Sparta, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married at Sanders Baptist Church, where Hardin now serves as minister.
Virginia McDanell Wheeler, sister of the bride, and Jean Thomas of Hodgenville, were bridesmaids. Joe Lowe, brother of the groom, and Tommy Duncan were groomsmen.
Katie is a 1957 graduate of Carroll County High School. She is the daughter of the late Everett and Catherine McDanell of Dividing Ridge in Carroll County. Hardin graduated from Gallatin County in 1957. He is the son of the late Alva and Zerelda Lowe of Sparta.
Hardin and Katie make their home on the family farm in Sparta. They have three children, Jason (DeRhonda) Lowe of Sparta, Nathan (Letha) Lowe of Owenton, and Lora Beth (Jeff) Sadler of Sparta. They have six grandchildren.
Their children and grandchildren will host a reception for the couple at 2 p.m. this Sunday at the Gallatin County Extension Office located at 395 Hwy. 42 W. in Warsaw. All family and friends are invited. Please, no gifts are requested.
