Pam e-mailed a few of us last week and said she wasn’t sure if she was going to be able to attend the FAUBS monthly meeting. This month’s meeting was going to be held at the Family Affair Restaurant in Salvisa. She said her dad, Jim Acton, was scheduled for a heart cath the following week. After getting up there to have this done, the doctors had to do something completely different which landed Jim in CCU. He ended up having to have two stents put in. Pam said he started having some pain with this, so they ended up keeping him in the hospital a few days due to a slow heart rate. Pam said the good news is that it could be the medicine causing this, but said they are still talking about putting a pacemaker in as well.
Jim got to come home Friday I believe. I hope Jim is feeling better at this reading.
Pam ended up getting to join us after all. Joining us for this month’s FAUBS meeting were: Beth (Brock) Baker, Lori Bivens, Ruby Stewart, Robin Croley, Robin Moore, Troi Cunningham, April Jackson, Rhonda Chisholm, Kathy (Stamper) Doss, Susie Ballard, Toni and Joan Quire and myself. We enjoyed a great meal together, not to mention some great company as well. Everyone seemed to be excited to see each other again. These ladies are so much fun to be around. Although this was a first time for me, I am looking forward to going back again soon. I’m glad I was able to join the girls this month as well. They have planned a whole year of fun things to do and I hope to get in on the fun. There were a few ladies who didn’t get to make it this time and they were really missed, too.
Ray and Gina have been telling me about this place for years. I’m glad I was finally able to check them out for myself.
After leaving there, I went on to visit with Kirby for awhile since I was in his area. He’s feeling a lot better and we had a very good visit as well.
Well, I suppose that’s about it for this week. Until next time, be safe and please continue to keep all our sick in your thoughts and prayers.
