Girls grab third place on home turf

The Owen County High School girls’ track team hosted the North Central Kentucky Track Conference Meet May 3 in Owenton. The Lady Rebels welcomed in seven other schools and when the night was over the team had earned a third-place finish behind Western Hills and Trimble County.
Andi Burford finished fourth in the 100-meter dash with Emily Allen finishing sixth. Ashley Byers ran to a fifth-place finish in the 200-meter dash while Allen again placed sixth.
