Fiscal court approves road work

Owen countians will soon notice improvements to several roads after the Owen County Fiscal Court recently approved a resolution and agreement for resurfacing.
The fiscal court held its second monthly meeting in September on Sept. 25 at the South Owen Fire Department, where the action was taken.
The resurfacing will cost $350,000, but Owen County Judge-executive Carolyn Keith said $100,000 of funding for the project will come from flex funds or extra funding from the state.
