Fall sports start practice

The weather may be hot but fall is in the air.
Practice begins this week for the fall sports team at Owen County.
The seasons get underway in August for the football, volleyball, soccer and golf teams. The cross-country team begins its season in September.
The football team will be looking to recapture the magic after an 11-1 season a year ago.
The volleyball team will be looking for a second straight trip to the eighth region tournament while the soccer teams are hoping realignment will mean a fresh start.
The golf teams are hoping to continue its solid play from a year ago.
The Rebels will open the football season Aug. 17 at Lloyd.
Volleyball hits the court Aug. 13 at Trimble County.
The boy’s soccer team makes its season debut Aug. 14 at home against Simon Kenton while the girls take to the pitch Aug. 13 in the Capital City Classic.
