Drug bust at local motel

On Oct. 6, the Sheriff’s department arrested two 18-year-olds on drug charges.

Acting on an anonymous tip, a search warrant was issued for a unit at the Hi Y-Inn. With help from drug-detecting dogs, law enforcement officers discovered a pound of marijuana and various drug paraphernalia.

Tyler Leathers and Aylissa Moore were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and drug trafficking within 1,000 yards of a school.
