For the second time in a little over a month, local emergency crews were once again called out after a tractor-trailer overturned, this time on Hwy. 127 South.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, 31-year-old George Whitehead of Crittenden, is the same driver of the tractor-trailer that overturned on South Main Street July 5.
The incident took place a little before noon Saturday, near the “Welcome to Owenton” sign on Hwy. 127 South.
Whitehead was once again hauling steel and Owenton Police Chief Terry Gentry said Whitehead was driving the same truck he was operating during the July 5 incident.
Gentry said the incident is being investigated by Kentucky State Police because of the two incidents happening so close together.
A KSP public affairs trooper could not be reached by press time Tuesday.
