Davis C. Griffith, 62, of Sadieville, died Sept. 14, 2008, at his residence. He was a supervisor for MPW Industrial Services of Georgetown. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and a Kentucky Colonel.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Marie Griffith, in 1994; and two daughters, Phyllis Marie Angel Griffith and Anita Ann Griffith, both in 1991.
He is survived by three sons, Danny Lee Griffith, Davis C. Griffith Jr., and Jonathan Davis Griffith, all of Sadieville; three sisters, Connie Weaver of Frankfort, Louetta Wigglesworth of Sadieville, and Ann Richardson of Corinth, Ga.; five brothers, Boyd Griffith of Corinth, Jimmy Griffith of Warsaw, Virgil Griffith of Sadieville, Danny Lee Griffith of Owen County, and Julian Griffith of Harrison County; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 18, 2008. Burial was in Pythian Grove Cemetery in Berry.
