A second man has died following a crash on Highway 35 last week.
Drew Mason, 26, of Sparta, was flown to the University of Cincinnati Hospital following the crash.
Mason was pronounced dead by the Hamilton County Coroner Oct. 9 at the University of Cincinnati Hospital.
Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash that also killed Justin Renfro, 24, of Owenton.
Mason was pronounced dead at the scene by Owen County Coroner Lannis Garnett.
According to a press release, Kentucky State Police dispatchers received a call of a single-vehicle crash at 1:59 a.m. Oct. 9.
Preliminary investigation shows the car, driven by 26-year-old Michael Grubb of Georgetown, was traveling south on Highway 35 when the vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons and rolled several times.
Results of the investigation, including who exactly was driving at the time of the crash, are still preliminary.
Grubb was flown by Air Methods, Inc. to the University of Cincinnati Hospital.
According to the release, alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash. No one in the vehicle was wearing a seat belt, police said.
KPS Trooper Dusty Corbin, an accident reconstructionist, is leading the ongoing investigation.
