An automobile accident early Thursday morning has left one Owen County man dead and injured another.
According to Kentucky State Police in Campbellsburg, the single-vehicle accident  happened at approximately 5 a.m. Thursday in the northbound lane of Sweet Owen Road when the driver of a vehicle apparently failed to negotiate a curve.
The vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree and a fence.
Zachary S. Asher, 26, from Owenton, was pronounced dead at the scene by Owen County Coroner Lannis Garnett.
The other person in the vehicle, Andrew S. Larmour, 29, also from Owenton, was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, with non-life threatening injuries.
At this time, police have not determined who was driving the vehicle although neither occupant was wearing a seat belt.
Police said alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
