Community forum to address drug problem

There will be a community forum addressing the drug problem in Owen County April 25 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Owen County High School.
The forum will focus on the severity of the drug problem in Owen County.
The featured panel members will include Dr. Larry Johnson; Capt. Dean Hayes of the Kentucky State Police; Owenton Police Chief Terry Gentry; Dr. Jeremy Engel of the Northern Kentucky Heroin Task Force; Owen County Director of Emergency Services Kevin Luther; Owen County Attorney Josh Smith; Owen County Sheriff’s Deputy Brent Caldwell; and Owenton City Police Officer Steve Miller.
The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
The forum is sponsored by the Owen County Community Health Collaborative, The Three Rivers District Health Department, the Owen County Judge-executive office, the Owen County EMS/EMT, Owenton City Police, Owen County Youth Service Center, and Regional Prevention Center.
