One Voice to perform Sunday at First Baptist Church Owenton
First Baptist Church Owenton will host The One Voice Choir from First Baptist Church of Montgomery, Ala., beginning at 6:30 Sunday in the evening worship service.
One Voice is a 90-member choir of high school students. They will be singing in Owenton on their summer tour to Chicago, Ill.
One Voice is directed by a former First Baptist Church Music Minister Chip Colee.
After the service, dinner will be served in the church fellowship hall
Church to host adventure June 6-10
The Big Apple Adventure will be presented 6-8:45 p.m. June 6-10 at Long Ridge Baptist Church.
Basketball camp is June 7-10
The Owen County Rebels basketball camp will be 9 a.m.-noon June 7-10 for boys and girls entering grades 3 through 8. Forms are available at OCES and MBMS offices.

OCHS classes of 1959, 1960 meet June 11
The Owen County High School classes of 1959 and 1960 will hold a reunion June 11 hosted by Ronnie Wainscott at his Corinth farm.

Hospice Grief Support Group meets June 12
On June 12, Hospice of the Bluegrass will conduct a support group for those suffering loss of a loved one.
The Grief Support Group will meet from 11 a.m. to noon at the Owen County Public Library.

Retired teachers to meet June 14
The Retired Teachers of Owen County will hold its quarterly meeting at 2 p.m. June 14 in the Smith House Restaurant.
New officers for the upcoming year will be elected at this meeting and all members are urged to attend.
GED test is free June 15
The GED test is being offered free until June 30. There is a test scheduled in Owen County June 15. For more information, call the Owen County Adult Learning Center at (502) 484-0405.
Class of ‘71 reunites June 18
The class of 1971 will hold their 40th class reunion from 5 to 9 p.m. June 18 at Elk Creek Winery. For more information, call Stuart Bowling at (502) 750-1183.
Class of ‘91 reunites June 25
The Owen County High School class of 1991 will have its 20th reunion starting at 5 p.m. June 25 at Elk Creek Vineyards.
Registration is $25 per person and should be sent to Natalie Goodin at 12106 Preakness Ct., Louisville, Ky., 40299.
Dinner will be served and live music provided.
Class of 1955 gets together June 26
A class of 1955 get-together is planned for 3 to 4:30 p.m. June 26 at the Smith House Restaurant. Friends of the 1950s classes are welcome.

Deadline to register to vote is June 28
The last chance to register to vote in the July 26 Local Option Election (Wet/Dry vote) is by 4 p.m. June 28 in the Owen County Clerk’s Office.

Epicenter Church of God VBS will be July 24-27
The Epicenter Church of God will have a firefighter-themed vacation Bible school July 24-27 6-8 p.m. each night. Different fire departments will provide demonstrations. Everything is free and the public is welcome.

Hunt club to host charity shoot July 30
The third annual Trooper Island Charity Shoot will be July 30 at Elk Creek Hunt Club in Owenton. European rotation will be 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Numerous prizes awarded. Registration for sporting clay main event is $65 and for 3D archery shoot is $25.
