Meet-and-greet with Johnson
Pro-Israel voters for Bill Johnson will host a meet-and-greet with Kentucky Secretary of State candidate Bill Johnson at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Smith House. Admission is free and open to the public.
Preschool or Head Start screenings available
Early childhood screenings for Preschool and Head Start are being scheduled for 3- and 4-year-old children. Each child must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Ky. author tells about his thriller Thursday

The Stafford family reunion will begin at noon Sunday at the Owen County Park under the pavilion. Lunch will be served closer to 1 p.m. All family and friends are invited to attend. Please bring a covered dish to share. Drinks will be provided.

This spellbinding special event illustrates the principles of air pressure.
Mad Scientists make a hot air balloon out of a dry-cleaning bag and levitate a playground ball. Watch a vortex generator at work, ride a hovercraft, and see how pressure can be used to create cinematic special effects. It’s all possible at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The Sweet Owen Day 5K Fun Run/Walk starts at the Courthouse at 8:30 a.m.
Entry Fee is $15 per person; $60 per five-member Corporate Team
