Bro. Emory’s message Sunday was “The King and His Kingdom;” it came from Matthew 6:33. The Kingdom of God comes to us when we give God reign over our lives. We looked at the reality of the Kingdom, the rule of the Kingdom and the Righteousness of the Kingdom. We are not only to seek God’s control over us but to seek God’s character within us. We are to be completely sold out to the Kingdom of God and to our Lord Jesus, our King. Who is your King? Who wears the crown in your castle? Who sits on the throne of your life?
The choir sang “He Is Here” and Veronica Gayle sang “He’ll Do It Again.” On Sunday evening we continued our journey through the book of James, discussing the most dangerous thing we possess — our tongue. We must bridle our tongue and keep it under control to honor God. The tongue is ever so small but can cause great damage. We must be careful as to what we say as not to dishonor ourselves and our Lord Jesus.
