First Baptist Church Owenton
It was a wonderful day of worship as we celebrated the Lord on Father’s Day. Our pastor challenged the dad’s from I Timothy 6. The message emphasized the four steps every dad must make to have an eternal impact on their children.
Our Haiti mission team returned home from a great week of service with the Haiti Baptist Mission. The team will be giving a report Sunday, July 9, during the evening service.
VBS will continue this week through Friday from 9 a.m.-noon. The commencement service will be held at 10:50 a.m., Sunday.
G.A. Camp will be held June 27-29. Our middle and high school students will leave for Fuge Camp at 7:30 a.m., Tuesday, and return on Saturday, July 1.
Meeting the Needs will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Tuesday, and from 6-8 p.m.
Our 150th Church Anniversary will be observed on Sunday, July 23.

Monterey Baptist Church News
We praised God Sunday morning as Brandon Lewis was baptized. Please keep Brandon in your prayers as he grows in his faith and knowledge of the Lord.
Our youth had a successful week at camp and returned safely Saturday evening. The youth group meets at 5 p.m. on Sundays.
Join us at 7 p.m. on Wednesday nights for adult Bible study, and women’s Bible study. The Rock Stars are taking the summer off. The church’s fitness group meets at 7 p.m., Friday evenings.
If you wish to make a donation toward the mowing of the cemetery, please send a check or cash to Gary Derringer, 14020 Hwy. 127 S., Owenton, KY 40359. Make your check out to Monterey Baptist Church (MBC) with “cemetery” on the notation line. Your donation is greatly appreciated and many thanks to those who have already donated.
Vacation Bible School will be held July 10-14. A few more volunteers are still needed. Contact Jennifer Cull if you can help out that week.

Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church
“And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath; but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord,” — Ephesians 6:4.
We recognized all the fathers with a gift Sunday morning. “Good, Good Father” was sweetly sung by Michelle Justis accompanied by Dana Justis on the guitar.
Thanks to the youth and several adults who helped with the fundraiser at the antique tractor show Friday and Saturday.
Happy birthday to Terry Burke.
We were so happy to hear that Diana Dawson’s treatments are working; baby Brantley McGlasson got new kidneys and Milford Sipple Jr. is on the mend.

Vacation Bible school begins with a meal from 6-6:30 p.m., Monday, and classes from 6:30-9 p.m. VBS commencement will begin at 6 p.m., Sunday, July 2.
Poplar Grove Baptist Church
Poplar Grove Baptist Church will be having a family fun night beginning at 4 p.m., Sunday. We will be having an evening of inflatables, corn hole, food, worship, a short message for all ages, games (including a lot of water, so bring towels) and giveaways.
