The beautiful snow did not deter a good-sized crowd at First Christian Sunday.
The Rev. Masden’s message was titled “Stepping Out” based on Matthew 14:22-33 and reminded us that Jesus is the calm to all kinds of storms, both inside and outside.  
Pat Beverly talked with the children during Time for Young Disciples about forgiveness and how Jesus said that we must forgive as many times as we are asked. The choir, led by Berna Tanksley, presented special music titled “There Is a River. “
Wednesday Night Live continues this week with our meal being held from  5 until 6 p.m. for those busy folks rushing in from work. Our youth and children’s choir will practice after the meal from 6 until 6:30 p.m. There will be children’s activities following practice until 7 p.m. The adult choir will rehearse from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. 
Our adult study continues with session three Wednesday from 6 until 7 p.m. The Rev. Masden is leading the session on “What We Believe as Disciples. “
The youth will be presented their Valentine Extravaganza again this year with special guest Dave Stahl at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 13. Mark your calendars. You don’t want to miss this.
