Dorothy Johnson and Don Prather lit the five Advent candles of Christ, preparation, love, joy and hope.
Bro. John’s sermon was on Luke 2: 21-35 — “The Word Made Flesh.”
When Joseph and Mary came to the temple to offer sacrifice, they didn’t realize they had the real sacrifice in their little child, Jesus.
Simeon had faith as an old man that God would let him see the Lord Christ. When Mary and Joseph came to the temple, Simeon, through the Spirit, knew he was the Christ.
