Campbellsville University presents awards

Campbellsville University’s annual Honors and Awards Day presented students, faculty and staff awards recognizing them for their academics and service to the university and community.
Dr. Michael V. Carter, president of the university, called the ceremony a “very special celebration” and said, “We celebrate with those recognized.”
“This is a high day in the life of a university,” he said.
Valedictorian for the December 2011 graduating class was Bilen Melles Ghirmay of Campbellsville while Felechia Kemper Wainscott of Worthville was salutatorian for December 2011.
Co-valedictorians for May 2012 were Johnnie Lynn Decker of Louisville and Trask Anthony Murphy of Summersville,
Rebekah Rose Bess Murphy, a resident of Summersville and native of Owen County received the following honors: William K. Pennebaker Education – P-5; “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges” for 2011-12; and received summa cum laude with a grade point average of 3.85 to 4.0
Trask Murphy received the following awards: Biblical Studies – Pastoral Ministries; summa cum laude with a grade point average of 3.85 to 4.0
Felechia Kemper Wainscott of Worthville was also named summa cum laude with a grade point average of 3.85 to 4.0
