I’ve been listening to the radio about this tragic killing in Arizona.
From what I’m hearing, there was a rush to assign blame.
First it was Sarah Palin and the Tea Party to blame.
But wait, the (suspect) did not have any connection with Palin or the Tea Party.
In fact, to the best of my knowledge, the (alleged) killer was not a fan or supporter of any elected official. Come to think about it, why kill a 9-year-old if it was a political statement of some kind?
Then from what I heard on the radio, I guess somebody wants to blame the gun.
I don’t know how a gun or any other non-living object can make somebody do something.
Now having said all that, let me propose an idea. Be warned this might sound old-fashioned and outdated but I think it makes sense.
OK. Here goes:
Why not blame the person that actually did the killing? After all, shooting human beings, including a 9-year-old child, is not normal behavior for people of either political persuasion.
